Are you a licensed and insured company?
Yes. All of our technicians are licensed, background-checked, and fully insured.

Yes. We are a family-owned and operated business. We live and work in Northern Colorado, and we treat our customers the way we’d want to be treated ourselves.

We provide a full range of HVAC services including heating and air conditioning repair, installation, and maintenance. We also handle water heaters, boilers, heat pumps, and indoor air quality services.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Fort Collins, Windsor, Berthoud, Timnath, Loveland, Greeley, Johnstown, Wellington, and communities throughout Northern Colorado. If you’re not sure whether we cover your area, just give us a call.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. We provide free estimates on installations. No pressure and no obligation.
Do you offer same-day or weekend appointments?
Yes. We offer same-day and weekend appointments (including 24/7 emergency service) because we know HVAC problems don’t always happen at a convenient time.
What do I do if my heating or cooling system breaks down after hours?
Contact us. We are available for emergency HVAC repair and will work to get someone out to you as quickly as possible.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer flexible financing options to help make repairs and new installations more manageable.
Are there rebates available on new HVAC equipment?
Yes, in many cases. Rebates on heating and cooling equipment can come from several sources, including your utility provider, the state of Colorado, and occasionally federal tax credits for qualifying high-efficiency systems. As a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, MGI Mechanical Services can also help you identify any manufacturer rebates available at the time of purchase. We’ll let you know what’s currently available and help you take advantage of any savings you qualify for.
What is the VIP Comfort Club?
It’s our ongoing maintenance membership plan. Members receive regular system tune-ups, discounts, and priority service, which helps prevent breakdowns and keeps your equipment running efficiently year-round.
What brands do you work with?
We are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, which means we meet Carrier’s standards for training, customer service, and technical expertise. We also work with other major brands, such as Lennox and Trane.
Do you service both homes and businesses?
Yes. We work with both residential and commercial customers.
How often should I have my HVAC system serviced?
Generally, you should have your heating system serviced once a year before winter, and your air conditioning system serviced once a year before summer. Regular maintenance extends the life of your equipment and helps catch problems early.
How do I know how old my HVAC system is?
Check the metal data plate on your outdoor condenser unit or indoor air handler — it lists the model and serial number. The serial number usually encodes the manufacture date, though the format varies by brand. You can search “[brand name] serial number decoder” to read yours, or just call an HVAC technician and they’ll tell you in seconds.
What should a new homeowner do first with their HVAC system?
Start with three things: locate and replace the air filter (it may not have been changed in months), find your thermostat and learn how to program it, and schedule a professional tune-up so a technician can assess the system’s condition and flag any issues before they become emergencies. Also note where your circuit breaker for the HVAC is, just in case.
How long does a typical AC installation take?
Most straightforward replacements take 4–8 hours. A simple swap of existing equipment on a pre-existing system tends to be on the shorter end; new installations that require ductwork, electrical upgrades, or line set work can run longer. A good contractor will give you a time estimate upfront.
How do I know if I need a repair or a full replacement?
That depends on the age of your system, the cost of the repair, and how efficiently it’s running. We’ll give you an honest assessment and walk you through your options. We’re not going to push you toward a replacement if a repair makes more sense.
How do I get started?
