Rebate FAQ
Do I need to apply for rebates myself?
Not with MGI. We guide you through every available rebate and handle utility and manufacturer submissions on your behalf.
Which equipment qualifies for rebates?
Qualifying equipment varies by program, but generally includes high-efficiency heat pumps, central air conditioners rated 16 SEER2 or higher, furnaces with 95%+ AFUE ratings, and qualifying smart thermostats. Your MGI technician will confirm what qualifies before any work begins so there are no surprises.
Can I combine multiple rebates?
In many cases, yes. Rebates from Xcel Energy, Fort Collins Utilities, Loveland Water and Power, and manufacturer rebates can often be applied together depending on your circumstances. MGI will identify every program you’re eligible for and help you maximize your total savings across all available sources.
How long does the rebate process take?
Utility and manufacturer rebates are typically processed within 4–12 weeks after your installation and submission are complete, depending on the program. MGI ensures your paperwork is submitted promptly after installation so nothing delays your savings.
Are there city-specific incentives in Northern Colorado?
Yes. Several Northern Colorado municipalities run their own rebate and efficiency programs on top of state-level offerings. Because utility service areas don’t always follow city limits perfectly, the best way to know exactly what’s available at your address is to ask MGI. We’ll confirm your provider, check current program availability, and make sure you’re not leaving any local incentive on the table.
